 Aerial Tramways
Aerial tramways provide fast, efficient transportation
across profiles that would be unpassable by standard
gondolas, chairlifts, or other ropeway systems. Aerial tramways
are easily adapted to winter sport, tourist attractions, industrial transport or urban
transportation applications.
Leitner-Poma of America Inc. has installed aerial tramways all over the world. The most recent installation in North America was
the Mount Roberts Tramway in Juneau, Alaska, which ascends from Juneau's waterfront
to an elevation of 1750 feet, providing tourists with a breathtaking view of the Gastineau
Channel and downtown Juneau.
