Leitner and Poma merge operations in North America In the Spring of 2000 Michel Seeber, owner of LEITNER, purchased POMA and in
his words, "It is clear that it is better to develop as a unit rather than individually in such
markets where our partnership gives us a better position with respect to the competition."
Continuing with this philosophy, LEITNER and POMA have announced that they have
merged their operations in North America. The Canadian group of POMA CANADA
and LEITNER LIFTS, LTD. are combined to become LEITNER-POMA CANADA,
LTD. Janek Kepka becomes President and Bruno Mansberger becomes GM of the new
service, spare parts and sales facility in Ontario. Pat Boyle becomes GM of the Kelowna
office and western Canada. POMA OF AMERICA in Grand Jct., CO. becomes
